Stream: MONTERO


Local musician Bjenny Montero (Treetops, The Brutals) has assembled an impressive cast of musicians for his new project, aptly titled Montero. Consisting of Guy Blackman, Geoffrey O'Connor (The Crayon Fields), Cameron Potts (Ninety Nine, Baseball, Cuba Is Japan), Bobby Fresh Bravington (Cuba Is Japan), Gerard Wells (Baptism of Uzi) and Montero himself, the group will release their debut 7" this September on Mistletone Records.

A-side single 'Rainman' also features guest musicians Jonathan Michell (Mum Smokes, The Ancients) and Matt Brown (Zond). Stream it here:

Adelaide three piece TERRIBLE TRUTHS are my new favourite band, reminiscent of ESG and The Slits. They are launching their debut self-titled 7" at the the Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne on Saturday 13th August, as part of the Rose Quartz showcase. The 7" will be gold vinyl!

Eloise from local zine group Sticky Institute will be on to chat about the organisation and a fundraiser gig that they are holding at The Toff on Sunday 21 August. Also on the program will be Shaun from Sydney collective Tenzenmen, who help artists with album releases, production, touring and promotion.
